![]() ![]() The game play is very loose and at time seems like there is no purpose or objective. If your a big THPS fan I would stay away from this, it might ruin the series for you. I haven't lost complete hope yet, maybe some patch updates could fix the frame rate issue, add a real create-a-skater, add flat land trick, the ability to use your own music and and some DLC levels from the previous games (or alternatively make some new ones with missions more relevant to skateboarding!) But I certainly won't be holding my breathe for that to happen anytime soon. As a loyal THPS fan who's been playing the series since 2000, I really wanted to like this game, but Activision and Robomodo really s*** the bed on this sequel. Obviously that's a subjective issue, but it would be a nice option to be able to choice music from your own library. I've previously enjoyed the majority of the music chosen for the series, but unfortunately THPS 5 is a big exception, the soundtrack in the game is god awful, save for about two tracks. Speaking of Rodney Mullen I was really hoping they were going to bring back flatland tricks.but again, disappointed. That being said I can see why he wouldn't want to attach his name or brands to this atrocity. ![]() (You can change preset designs around, but they are all variations on a few generic designs) Not a huge deal but I was sad to see that Rodney Mullen was not a part of this game. There's no create-a-skater, which IMO was half the fun. And you cannot chose which special moves you want to use. Robomodo completely ruined the "special" feature, it's just a button you press now. (The glitchy game play, dropouts, weird graphics, etc, it's all valid) What I dislike the most is the lack of customization options. I'm not going to rehash what most have written here. I was so excited for this game, that I went to the bother of pre-ordering it. I have to say it's a big A Big Disappointment. ![]() ![]()
